How Can I Control My Thoughts In My Mind?

How can I control my thoughts in my mind? Do you often wonder if you are in charge of your own attitudes and feelings of the way you treat yourself and your world? But you cannot determine the outcome of every circumstance, just as you do not make the sun rise or set, keep the earth in orbit!  Or make the rain fall hey, you do not create you own reality so much as you are responsible to your reality.  You cannot direct the wind, but you can adjust your sails. There is one catch to this when we begin to understand the mind body connection/relationship we may wonder whether if we are to blame for being ill, or that in having these thoughts has brought this state of upon ourselves.

Could we have caused our illness or state of mind?  Every thought and feeling we have could be considered helpful, as it can enable us to see and even being unaware of what we do. Our minds, thoughts and feelings can teach us to stop blaming other people or external events for our problems and instead to take responsibility  for our actions. And the moment you start thinking your responsible for your own reality you develop an inflated sense of self belief that you are All Powerful, generating egocentricity and self centeredness; both of which set the stages of guilt, shame, and failure.

Believing that we create our own reality places us in both in cause and outcome, implying that “I am in complete control”. Yet we are not alone on earth and there are other factors present, an essential component is interwoven, interrelated whole that is constantly  changing and moving.  Reality is co-created through our mutual dependency.  It is this intimate relationship with all other things that gives ‘life’ its depth and beauty.

Through illness our bodies is giving us a message, my clients often have me reminding them of this!!!  Our bodies tell us that something is out of balance. The resolution and healing of your inner being is within your contol, and this may also bring cure to the physical body. But if it does not,  REMEMBER it is vital to know that you are not guilty and you are not a failure. This is not a punishment for bad behaviour, rather it is natures way of creating equilibrium. Your body is actually a source of Great Wisdom. By listening and paying attention to it, you have a chance to contribute to your own health. Being part and participating with your body in coming back to a state of whole.

So your difficulties, your issue’s, your fears, your limiting beliefs become a stepping stone along the way rather than being experienced or assuming they are stumbling blocks.  Instead of feeling overwhelmed, a sense of hopelesness, guilt or shame that you are responsible for everything that is happening to you, you can choose to see illness as a gift and that your body is a fabulous source of information. It is there to help you, not to hinder you!
